I am raising $10,000 for Miracle Foundation to help 8 children in foster care. These funds will help stabilize and support children spending the holidays in the child welfare system this year.
Did you know there are more than 400,000 children in the U.S. foster care system? On average, they move seven times during their time in foster care. That's 7 homes to get used to, 7 sets of rules to memorize, 7 types of food served for dinner every night, and sometimes even 7 different schools to attend, with new teachers and new peers each transition.
$1,260 per child each year helps identify and address these kids' critical needs, such as mental health support and tutoring. These interventions are vital in providing stability and reducing the number of times a child has to move from one family to another. Together, we can give these children a better chance to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
